North Posey VS Southridge Game Recap

The North Posey Vikings suffered a tough loss in the PAC Small School Division championship game, falling 42-0 to the Southridge Raiders. Southridge took control of the game after a slow start, scoring six consecutive touchdowns on their offensive drives. The Vikings, ranked fifth in Class 2A, struggled to keep pace with the dominant 3A Southridge team, marking their second loss this season to a ranked 3A opponent. Southridge’s running back, Justin Leathers, led the charge with four rushing touchdowns and a touchdown pass, accumulating 166 yards on 27 carries. The Raiders posted 389 yards of total offense, while the Vikings were held to 131 total yards.

North Posey’s offense struggled to find rhythm, with quarterback Carter Schickel throwing for 53 yards and two interceptions. Running backs Jed Galvin and Cade Mauck tied for the team lead with 37 rushing yards. Defensively, Julian Dickinson and Jack Galvin led the Vikings with 11 and 10 tackles, respectively. Despite the loss, North Posey will look to regroup and focus on their upcoming Senior Night and Homecoming game against Pike Central as they prepare for postseason play. Southridge, meanwhile, claimed the PAC Small School Division title with the victory.
