Mount Vernon VS Princeton Game Recap
The Mount Vernon Wildcats wrapped up their regular season in dominant fashion, securing a 42-13 victory over Princeton. From the start, Mount Vernon controlled the game, with Ryder Snodgrass leading the offensive charge. He connected with Hunter Pedrotti twice in the first quarter for touchdowns of 30 and 34 yards, putting the Wildcats up 14-0. Not slowing down, Nash Hostetter joined the scoring spree, catching a 16-yard pass from Snodgrass to extend the lead to 21-0 before the quarter ended. The second quarter saw more action, as Hostetter broke free for a 49-yard touchdown pass, making it 28-0. Easton Hall added to the rout with a 15-yard rushing score, giving the Wildcats a commanding 35-0 lead by halftime, initiating a running clock in the second half.
Princeton managed to find some rhythm in the second half, with a 21-yard pass for their first score in the third quarter. Mount Vernon, however, answered back with a short pass to Pedrotti that he turned into a 60-yard touchdown, extending their lead to 42-6. Princeton capped off their night with a late 2-yard run by Drake Cox, though they failed on the extra point attempt. Statistically, the Wildcats were dominant, with Snodgrass throwing for 314 yards and five touchdowns. Pedrotti led the receiving corps with 148 yards and three scores, while Easton Hall's ground game added 123 rushing yards. The Wildcats begin post season play next week on the road at Southridge.
