The 88th Annual Hadi Shrine Circus is right around the corner at Ford Center in downtown Evansville. Once again Posey County Shriners are making available free Circus Exchange Tickets for all Posey County Elementary School students. These are student only tickets and will be available at the following locations until supplies last. The first chance to get these tickets are tomorrow at the Poseyville Police Department from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM. You will also have an opportunity on Monday November 21st at the New Harmony Fire Department from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM and on Tuesday November 22nd in Mt. Vernon at the Black Township Fire Department from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

 

Adult discount admission tickets will also be available for purchase at the previously mentioned locations. Discount tickets will not be available after November 23rd. Evansville’s Hadi Shrine Circus kicks off Thanksgiving Day at 5:00 PM and will have shows throughout Thanksgiving weekend at Ford Center in Evansville.

 

The annual Candy Cane Market at North Elementary is coming up on December 10th from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. It is an annual craft and vendor fair. There will be crafts, boutique clothing, and more. Random Fill-Ups will be serving breakfast and lunch as well. Admission is 3 dollars for adults. They are still accepting vendors and if you are interested, you can email kfisher@northposey.k12.in.us for an application.

 

High School Football Semi-State is this Friday, and the Mater Dei Wildcats will play for a trip to the State Finals against Linton-Stockton at 6:30 PM. We will have Mater Dei Football on the radio once again this Friday night, as they play host to 13-0 Linton-Stockton at The Bowl in Evansville. Kickoff is set for 6:30 PM. In Class 5A, Castle is still alive as well. They play on Friday at home against Whiteland at 7:00 PM. Castle is 8-4 on the year and Whiteland is 11-1.

 

After a four-hour search, Evansville Police confirm a missing girl has been safely found. 11-year-old Summer Bailey went missing in Evansville on Tuesday night. According to Evansville Police Department officials, Bailey went missing around 5:00 PM. She was last seen in the area of Covert Avenue and Eastwood Avenue while taking out the trash. After searching for about four hours, Summer was located and found safe.

 

An Indianapolis-area developer is working to turn a historic building near downtown Evansville into affordable apartments. Officials with Anderson Partners Development LLC. say they plan to turn the former Karges Furniture factory into approximately 150 affordable apartments. The former furniture factory is located at the corner of West Maryland Street and North Seventh Avenue, just northwest of the city's downtown. AP Development says the $30 million project is expected to be open to tenants in late 2023.

 

Local Sports From Last Night: 

- Mt. Vernon Girls Basketball lost at Reitz, 82-29. The Wildcats are now 1-3 on the year and play host to North Posey on Friday. 

- USI Women's Basketball fell at Northern Illinois, 61-53. Junior, Meredith Raley led the Screaming Eagles with 15 points. USI is now 2-1 on the season and welcome Bowling Green State to town on Saturday. 

- UE Volleyball defeated Indiana State in 4-sets at home last night in their final regular season match. The Purple Aces finish the regular season at 14-18 and 11-7 in the MVC. Sophomore Right-Side Hitter, Giulia Cardona set the UE single season kills record when she picked up her 495th kill of the season. Up next for UE Volleyball is the MVC Tournament which Evansville will host. It starts on Sunday. 

Men's College Baskeball last night:

- Louisville (0-3) lost 61-60 vs Appalachian State.

- #4 UK (2-1) fell to Michigan State 86-77 in 2 OT. The game was played in Indianapolis at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

- WKU (3-0) topped the University of Indianapolis at home 68-50.

- Purdue (3-0) beat Marquette at home 75-70.
