CenterPoint Energy says it's introducing a new program aimed at helping eligible Indiana customers pay their bills. CenterPoint Energy says the "Customer Assistance Fund" (CAF) is a new initiative focused on providing bill assistance to eligible customers in Indiana. They say it's replacing the Share the Warmth weatherization assistance program. According to CenterPoint Energy, the CAF will address customers’ needs by offering direct support to those facing financial challenges. The program is available to income-qualifying customers. Customers can apply once during the calendar year and may reapply at the start of each new calendar year. Tonight, North Posey Performing Arts presents their Holiday Bash. It will feature the 6th-12th grade band and 7th-12th grade choir. The Holiday Bash begins at 6:30 PM this evening in the North Posey Auditorium. Toys for Tots donation bins will be in the foyer with the art class displays before and after the concert.

 

MSD of Mt. Vernon says they are searching for permanent and substitute bus drivers. They say permanent drivers are eligible for health insurance. Last night in local high school basketball…North Posey Girls Basketball got beat at Southridge, 34-26. The loss ended the Lady Vikings 4-game winning streak as their record now sits at 4-2. North Posey will be home against Washington tomorrow night.

 

Mt. Vernon Girls Basketball lost at Mater Dei, 77-13. The Lady Wildcats are still winless on the year at 0-9. Their next game is on Saturday afternoon at home against Boonville.

 

In Men’s College Basketball from Tuesday night…the Illinois Fighting Illini picked up a strong home victory over #20 Wisconsin, 86-80. Illinois improves to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big 10. They are home against #1 Tennessee on Saturday.

 

Coming up this evening in Men’s College Basketball…#5 Kentucky welcomes Colgate at 7:00 PM. Louisville is home against UTEP at 6:00 PM and Notre Dame plays host to Dartmouth at 6:00 PM.
