On Saturday night, a Missouri man was arrested after getting into a high-speed vehicle crash in Posey County. According to a press release, troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver, later identified as Amir Tuzlakovic, sped up and continued east at a high rate of speed. Troopers clocked the vehicle going 95 mph on I-64, which later reached as high as 130 mph. The vehicle exited I-64 at the Poseyville exit, drove left of center on SR 165 at the exit ramp, and struck a 1997 Ford F250 pickup truck that was traveling north. The driver of the pickup truck had to be extricated by the Poseyville Volunteer Fire Department. The driver was a 52-year-old male from Owensville who was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Tuzlakovic was arrested and taken to the Posey County Jail where he is currently being held on bond. He faces several charges.

The Indianapolis Colts and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. have agreed to a three-year, $70-million contract extension worth up to $71.5 million…with $46 million fully guaranteed.  Indianapolis originally placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Pittman Jr. toward the end of that period, with the hope of coming to terms on a long-term contract extension this offseason. Now the Colts will be keeping their best wide receiver around for the foreseeable future. Pittman Jr. has been Indy’s best and most productive wide receiver in each of the last three seasons. Just last season, the 26-year-old recorded career-highs in receptions (109) and receiving yards (1,152) to go along with four touchdowns.
