Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb helped Toyota Indiana mark its latest milestone yesterday by unveiling its first Grand Highlander. The even bigger news though, was the announcement that came with it. To celebrate the new Grand Highlander, Toyota Indiana says it is granting $11.1 million to education in southern Indiana. Grants will be divided between the North Gibson School Corporation, Building Blocks and Youth First Incorporated, and the Lodge Elementary School in Evansville over the next five years. The money will provide access to pre-education, mental health resources and hands-on STEM learning for both teachers and students. Toyota Indiana employs around 8,200 people in Princeton. And some of them will be making parts for the new Grand Highlander, which features include new technology, an adult sized third row and cargo space.
