A local restaurant in Posey County has reported their cooking oil was stolen from their location. The Red Wagon in Poseyville say they saw a tanker truck on their property back on December 1st trying to take their cooking oil. They say employees confronted the drivers and told them they could not take the oil as they were under a different contract. According to Red Wagon, the truck returned a few days later in the middle of the night and stole around $300 worth of cooking oil from their grease pit. They say the truck is silver with a green hose on the side and a pump and motor on the back. A report was made to the Poseyville Town Marshal Charles Carter, and Mt. Vernon Police Chief Justin Rutledge says the Marshal will be reaching out to Gibson and Vanderburgh Counties to see if any other restaurant was stolen from. If you have any information regarding the theft, please contact the Poseyville Police Department or the Poseyville Town Marshall.
