Tonight is Sectional Championship night for High School Football in Indiana. Locally in Class 5A Sectional 16, North travels to Castle. In Class 4A Sectional 24, Boonville plays at Reitz. The Class 3A Sectional 32 Championship Game features Memorial at Heritage Hills. In Class 2A Sectional 40, Tell City plays host to Brownstown Central.  

 

The North Posey Spell Bowl Team is the 2024 Class 3 State Champion and has won state in Class 3 for four years in a row. At the area competition, they earned one near-perfect score and four perfect scores. Kianna Griffith earned the near-perfect score. Audrey Fisher, Katelyn Seibert, Aiden MacMunn, and Makayla Helfert all earned perfect scores. For the overall competition, they are heading into the state finals at Purdue on Saturday, November 16th ranked 4th

 

Tomorrow, the North Posey Cheerleading Team will head to New Castle High School to compete in the Indiana Cheer Championship. The Time-Out Team will compete at 10:30 AM and the Traditional Team will compete at 4:30 PM.

 

Coming up tomorrow, the MSD of North Posey will be seeking out individuals who would be interested in driving buses. They will be hosting a test drive event from 8 AM until 10 AM at the North Posey High School parking lot. You can complete a test drive in the parking lot, talk to the trainer and current drivers, and even register for the new driver training classes that will be coming up on December 4th through 6th. Tonight, the Mt. Vernon Girls Basketball team begins their season with a game at Harrison. It will be a Varsity only game at 6:30 PM. The Lady Wildcats will be at home tomorrow night against Gibson Southern.

 

Last night in Men’s College Basketball…USI lost in Overtime in their home opener against Bucknell, 75-69. Jayland Randall had 17 points to pace the Screaming Eagles. USI is now 0-2 on the year as they have lost back-to-back overtime games. They play at Marshall on Monday.

Tonight, USI Women’s Basketball plays at #17 Louisville at 6:00 PM. The Lady Screaming Eagles won their season opening game on Monday over Brescia, 100-49.

From the NBA…the Indiana Pacers look for a third-straight win as they play in Charlotte against the Hornets at 6:00 PM. The Pacers sit at 4-4 on they year.
