Campers will be able to have campfires at Harmonie State Park during Posey County’s burn ban though. Labor Day weekend can be a busy time at the park. Officials with the park say that a waiver has been finalized and granted to allow this. Officials state the fires must be contained, dug a little deeper and be near water.

Officials say the grant supports innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development related to clean energy and climate for disadvantaged communities. It allows the students at UE to learn new skills and lead the community to a greener and cleaner future.
